At the trial of Freedmen before the Courts, the same forms and Ceremonies are gone through with as in the case of a white man, Magistrates, Commonwealth Atternies and Juries are all disposed to be severe on the Freedmen when brought to trial. the perpretation of Crime in this division by the Freedmen residing therein is of rare occurance.
