Reports that on the 18th of July three men, named respectively Alfred, Jacob & John Payne attacked a colored man named Albert Davis who narrowly escaped being killed. State that a warrant was served upon them and that they were allowed to give bail of ($50) to appear at the August term of the court. A full report of the action of the court will be forwarded.
