They are now doing no business whatever, and have repeatedly refused to accept the accounts of Freedmen for dues against whites, upon which to bring 
warrants. The terms of service of the Justices of the Peace in the above named County expire by limitation August 1st prox, when other persons will be recommended for appointment to succeed them. It is futile for the Freedmen to attempt to recover their dues
from the whites, or to get justice, before the civil tribunals in their Division so
long as the present incumbents remain in office.
