Bureau of R. F. & A. Lands.
Head-Qurs. 2nd Division, 4th Sub Dist, Va.
Goochland C. H. Va. August 31st, 1868.

General:
I have the honor to submit the following Report in regard to "Result of Turning over to Civil Authorities, jurisdiction in Criminal Cases" during the month of August, 1868. No important cases have arisen in the Courts in this Division during the month, and consequently I have nothing to say in regard to the matter.

There are two important cases to be disposed of during the month of September. These cases will be tried at the coming September term of the Circuit Court for the county of Goochland, if not continued. One case is that of a young colored man charged with the murder of his father, and the other the case of William Thompson (white) indicted for the murder of a colored man.

Very Respectfully &c.
