It is also alleged that one Hodges. now confined

in Jail (on and old charge of Forgery) has the discharge papers of many colored soldiers in his possession and being unable to collect their bounty. much suffering is experienced in consequence thereof.
Capt Austin will also investigate and report upon this matter.

The child mentioned within is about eight (8) years of age. Its condition is bad. Mrs. A. F. Jordan is very poor and unable to take care of said child.
Mrs Jordan is living with a relative having no measure to support herself. The child is at the house of Rev'd Mr Davidson in this county. The nearest R.R. Depot is Keysville on R. & D, R.R and Eighteen (18) miles from Christiansville.
