"Office Supt 1st Dist Va
"Norfolk Va Sept 19th/66
"Respectfully returned with the report that Capt Bostwick
"left at my office about June 18 the sum of $363. 20/100
"with orders to pay the same to Serg't Michael Brown Co.
"A" 10th USCT for which a receipt was given him.
"There was no information given as to whom the

"M Brown as ordered and I hold his receipt for the

"money, but not mentioned in the receipt.
"Efforts have been made to find Serg't M Brown

"At the time we were discharged, I saw Capt Foot
"hand Corpl Lunkett a brother of Mark Lunkett,
"a package. I feel sure it contained the money
"of Mark Lunkett. The Capt always kept the money of his men at their request and paid it to them when

"and Mark Lunkett are now living Drummondtown
