Va. I saw Mr Kilgore as directed and he informed me that he had sent an agent to Rockville M'd. to settle any demands which the colored people mentioned within might have against him. He said as he had no acquaintances here who knew him when he lived there. he could not produce the proof required that he did not receive money from them for which he had never accounted for. He says that he has instructed his agent to settle this matter in full.
