Hicks, brother in-law of the applicant. The property was turned over to Mr C. H. Rhodes by Capt Barnes late Supt of this District by virtue of par I S.O. 114 series 1865. H'd Qrs Asst Com'r Dept Va. The Bureau has been paying rent to Mr Robert Kirkland (agent for Saml Adams purchaser of the property from Mr Rhodes) for the building in Lawrenceville used as office of Asst Supt at the rate of $8.00 per month from the time it was turned over to Mr Rhodes by the Bureau and a lease to that effect dated Nov 20/66 to run for one year from Jan 1st/67 has been entered into between the Bureau and Mr Kirkland.
