her nothing but her feeding and clothing while She remained with him. I took her away on 15th of Sept 1865 because she was dissatisfied and because I heard defendant tell the hands that if they dident get out to work by Sunrise they could leave the place. I dont know what made her dissatisfied, but I suppose it was because She dident like to get up to get up at four oclock in the morning and do house work until about sunrise and then go to the field to work. After the middle of July I Stayed at my wifes house of Defendants place, and worked for defendant: diging ditches at So much per yard, until Sept 14th 1865. My wife generally got up at daybreak and fed defendants hogs, Cooked breakfast for me and Some others, did her own house work, and then about an hour after Sunrise She went to the field to work,

Answer, I dont know, I have no idea;

A. I dont know which She fed, nor how many;

Q.  How many house shoats did I have at that time.
A.  I don't know;

Q.  Was you in my employment during your stay at my house
A.  Yes Sir.  I was in your employ from August 1st to Sept 14th 1865

Q.  Did I or not comply faithfully with my contract with you
A.  Yes Sir you did

Q.  Did I not pay you fully for all work you done for me
A.  Yes, Sir. You paid me for all work I done for you
