April 19th Moses & Fanny Carter vs. Roland Jones} Action for wages from April 3d to Dec 25th/65 Pltfs. worked for Def't. without any agreement, he finding them in food, quarters and clothes. As the Pltfs. are aged about 65 & 68 yrs respectively and are somewhat decrepit the Court is of the opinion that in furnishing food, quarters & clothes Deft. compensates them for their labor; but as he has not furnished them the usual allowance Orders that he pay them $3.75 as value of balance of clothes due. Len Foster vs. Thos. Morris} Action for wages from Apr. 3d to Dec. 25th 1865. Foster states that Mr. Morris, his former owner, has been "very kind", furnished him with food, quarters & clothing, besides part of corn raised, pork, and other things; he was satisfied, but was told that the "Bureau Man" would make Mr. Morris pay him more. As Foster is 70 years old and lame- the Court considers that Mr. Morris has more than compensated the Plaintiff for his labor. April 20th Jesse Morris, Mary A.
