Action for wages for work for year 1865.  From April 3rd to Christmas.
The defendant after the fall of Richmond made no bargain but was to give what was right for their work. He fed them all.
Lottmere Brown left Sept 1st took a hog with her.
Wm. King Johnson left at Christmas received from the defendant 1 suit clothing 3 barrels corn
Caroline Turner had two small children which were fed by defendant. Left in August sick nearly all the time. Doctor bill amounting to $6.00 which was paid by defendant.  also gave her a hog.
From the evidence produced the court does therefore sentence the defendant to pay to Lottmere Brown $9.00 and to Wm King Johnson the sum of $13.50.  the court are of the opinion that Caroline Turner has been amply paid for work she did.
