Peter Cole (Col'd) Minor. states that he was in the employ of Robert Ruffin had been employed by him since 10 March 1866. has seen the account shown to the Court. does not know how long since. Saw Clayborne Holmes. make his mark on the account thinks he made it three times on the same paper. it was done in Ruffins Store. the paper was read before he signed it. thinks the amount of the account was Sixty some dollars.

On request of defendant (Robert Ruffin) the case was adjourned to August 8th 1866. to allow him time for further testimony and to obtain counsel.
