Nov. 22nd 1865- Present Dodson, Webb & May-

1.  Gov't. vs. R.F. Hobbs.  Ch'd with assaulting & striking with a tumbler Booker Whitlow. Col'd-
Witness- Booker Whitlow went into Hobb's saloon with Shadrack Saunders. Shadrack asked for a drink- Mr. Hobbs said if you dammed negroes to not clear out he would knock them down- He immediately went out & as he got to the door Hobbs threw a tumbler at him & struck him on the head- There were several white men in the saloon. It was about dark- Shadrack asked for the drink- It was for me because I was sick. but he did not say so when he asked for the drink.- Came from Lynchburg where he had lived for 14 or 15 years & has been living here about 6 months-
Shadrack Saunders- makes same statement-

Hobbs the prisoner- The man came in.

Dunn- Fined $25 & $1 costs
Fine paid-

2) Thos. Atkinson-  Walter Pucci - Marion King - W.G. Simpson- Wm Rainkey - Thos. Sinclair- White Charged with riotous conduct [[strikethrough]] assault on Henry Jones [[/strikethrough]] Colored.-
Witness- Wm Coldwell - Atkinson struck at the negro after he was arrested-
