John Elliott (cold.) vs. H.R. Harwood (white)
Charge Debt
John Elliott (cold.) being duly sworn states I sold a horse to Harwood for Forty dollars, and took his note for the amount payable on demand have presented the note to him several times but he never has any money and as I owe money to other parties, I am forced to bring this before the court.
H.R. Hardwood (white) admits that he owes the amount claimed and will not pay Ten dollars, if the court will allow him some time to pay the balance.
The Court gave judgement in favour of plaintiff and allowed defendant twenty days to pay the balance.
