Richard Hudgins (col d.) vs. Jack Adams (col d)
Charge. Debt.

Richards Hudgins being duly sworn states, I loaned my Oyster Tongs to John Batup, to oyster, and Jack Adams promised to see me paid, I would not have let the Tongs if Adams had not said so. he owes me $1.75/100 One dollar and twenty-five cents for hire of Tongs, and Fifty cents for Ploughing.  I have no witnesses to prove my account.

Jack Adams, being duly sworn states, I never became responsible to Hudgins, for hire of Tongs, and do not know anything about it.  I do owe him Fifty cents for Ploughing, which sum I intend paying. 

The Court gave judgement in favour of plaintiff for 50c, and allowed defendant ten days to pay the same.
