NARA 507 3 the child if he would go before the County Court & give a bond for her care & protection, and release us of a similar obligation. The truth is simply this, Andy persists in the matter as a question of supposed spite to us, & because the child is doing better than his children by the same mother - and because her Sister in law - a sewing woman in Columbus wants the child to serve her now - and to be proffitable in future. This sewing woman was also our Slave. We do not wish her - but if the child's interest [[strikethrough]] is [[/strikethrough]] is regarded, the change would not benefit her present or future condition. I presume this letter will be sent to the Officer at Columbus. If so I would respectfully ask that B.G. Hendrick the present employer of Andy be conversed with in regard to it. Very Resply Chs.
