The undersigned attorney for May Innings and other Freedman, would most respectfully represent to your Honor that he instigated suit in the circuit court of this county aforesaid for May Inning & some sixteen other Freedmen for their pro rata shares of 3000 bushels of corn & for their clothing for their labour due them by Col. TJ Spain for 1865. I would further represent to your Honor that [[strikethrough]] than [[/strikethrough]] at the last April term of said court I at the instance of one Wm. C. Woodliff who was the security for the cost of suit for said freedmen refused to stand as their security any longer and also from this fact that the said T.J. Spain had made a morgage upon his Estate after I had instituted said suits against him, I Dismissed said suits against him. I therefore most respectfully ask your honor that Gen ord orders No 19 may be enforced against the said
