Dear Sir
I respectfully state, for the information of all conserned, that I have no interest in any crops grown in the  State of Miss, or Elsewhere, but that I have as agent for my wife Mrs. Theo Jones, partially represented an interest she owns in connection with Maj Jas P. Billups. All the means on her part were given to her by her Father.
   
I further state that I have been duly adjuged & Bankrupt befor Isaac Dryton Register in Bankruptcy for the Southern District of New York & that I hold in my possession a certificate of protection. The Freedmen who were Employed by me in the year 1866, who claim an unsettled ballance due them are reported in the Schedule filed in my case.
