Dear Sir
Yours of the 23 in hand, & I hasten to reply to inquiry & refer you to E.T. Bush of your town to know that what I state is true.
   
After the Close of the war, Say, in Nov 1865, I leased my Noxube plantation to N.C. Jones for three years he to take the place as it stood with all the stock of any kind, on hand well supplied with provisions sufficient to run the place through the Crop of 1866. he to furnish all else that might be required paying all expenses of every kind, Such as additional  stock, hire and pay all employees & in fact to hav all the expense of running the place  he hired hands and made the crop of 1866 - which was a poor one
