I have the honor to forward a copy of a letter this day, addressed to the Agent of the Freedsmans Bureau.

In addition to the facts setforth in that letter. I design to explain for the information of the Com'r General, that serious threats have been made of burning my ginhouse. I therefore ask of him such protection as may be necessary to insure the safety of all my property, until it can be so disposed of as it insure justice to all who may have a legal claim against it. 

The course that has been pursued by the Agent of the Freedsmans Bureau has destroyed confidence between employer and employees to such an extent, that I am apprehensive that someone of the whites may apply the torch, if it seems probable, that the crops will be held for the
