Sir I respectfully request you to act on the following instructions in the matters of the late border troubles in this & Kemper Co. 

1st. To notify Justice Moore of Cooksville to be here tomorrow as early as possible to assist in the investigation of the affair together with all the necessary witnesses.  [[strikethrough]]no cases[[/strikethrough]] 

2nd [[strikethrough]] Complaints have been [[/strikethrough]] It having been reported to me by Sergt DuJardin that the cabins of certain of the parties now in custody were plundered by white men you will please cause the affidavits of the [[strikethrough]]injured[[/strikethrough]] men robbed to be taken & [[strikethrough]] cause the arrest of the same so citing the witness. [[/strikethrough]]
