Transcription Notes:
---------- Reopened for Editing 2024-06-11 13:38:10 Left the spelling of Pasquetank and Perquimmons as writer did. F.A.= Financial Agent ---------- Reopened for Editing 2024-06-12 15:26:23 WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS THE INITIAL, NUMBER, VOL. and YEAR Reference. Example: A.94.1.V.67. All the names in left margin are included under that number, which ends at the solid horizontal line that splits things. So if someone needs to find "War Dept. Bureau &c", this reference would come up if under this Vol of the Endorsement Books. Also, if you notice names are usually underlined in the letters to help you pick out a name when looking.
