The Officers Manual makes no provision for fires in Hospital later than the month of April- still fire will be to some extent absolutely necessary during the entire season for various Hospital purposes  In the absence of Bureau regulations I have cut this requisition down to the Army Regulation standard viz: after April, half a cord to a fire. -
