Respectfully forwarded to Capt. J. A. McDonnell, Supt 9th Dist. Va. with recommendation for favorable action-
I find the Freedmen at Waynesboro much interested in the establishment of a school there and deserve aid to encourage them to complete their laudable enterprise, if they will pay the $26 due on the lot and finish the body of the building by voluntary labor.

Parker, W.W.

Bureau R.F. & A.L.
Office Surg in Chief Ste. of Va.
Richmond, Va May 9th, 1867

Respectfully returned There is a full supply at the Dispensary of all articles of Medicine allowed by the Bureau supply table. The medical Gentlemen in the city who are authorized to draw for Freedmen, have means of knowing what those articles are. The difficulty is that they prescribe articles not in the supply table and we have no means of furnishing them, of which they are or should be aware - allthough the supply table may not furnish in all cases the precise article that might be preferredly proper selections from those articles furnished. the purpose can be as a general rule answered. That table on the whole may be considered satisfactory-although I should have preferred some changes in it- indeed I have made an effort to secure some few very desirable additions at various times, but without success.
