Va. with the information that I have ascertained upon investigation that a physician is needed in this locality to attend to sick and destitute freedpeople, several cases of which have already come under my notice and I would recommend Dr. Leonard Henley as a skillful physician, and one who has given gratuitously his services in many instances in such cases, It is also the wish of the colored people universally that Dr. Henley should receive this contract.
