Stone, J.R.
Bvt. Maj. & S.A.C.
Respectfully returned to Lt. P.R. Hambrick, Actg: S.A.C. with the information that the within named Johnson Wyatt, called at my residence some days go, and requested me to collect from the Captain of the "Francis Hatch," the sum of $45 - and also to recover his clothing. Johnson stated to me that the schooner was at that time, making a heavy consignment to a firm in Baltimore, and from thence the Captain would proceed to his home in Rockland, County, Me. Believing that the Capt. has not yet reached his destination I have not yet taken any action for the recovery of his clothes, and in view of this would suggest that Johnson seek the assistance of the S.A.C. at Petersburg to accomplish his object.
