Office A.S.A.C. 3rd Div. 6th S. Dist Va
Tappahannock, Va. June 7th 67

Respectfully forwarded thro. Bvt. Lt. Col. Jas. Johnson, S.A.C. by request of Mr. J.M. Evans.
I have to request that the Indentures remain as they are, null and void. The mother should be allowed her children and Mr. Evans is not a fit man to provide and take care of them. Mr. Evans states within that the mother was not forced or persuaded to bind the children to him. I do not think that he knows whether she was or not as he employed a lawyer, a notorious rebel, to have them bound to him and paid the lawyer $75. for it.
