I find among my papers Harrison Swan's memoranda receipt for $32.00 and his bill for like amounts for services rendered. I know that he done quite an amt. of labor, nearly all of the removing and burying of the Small-Pox patients. He was employed by Dr. Pratt, Couch and May on what terms I know not. I paid all the bills presented approved by them, but according to the best of my belief & judgement his labor & expenses would amount to the sum claimed & would therefore recommend its payment.
