Clinton, July 19th/67

H.S. Hill Esq.
Have received your letter to Louisa the daughter of Polly Boles and she says she is willing and thinks she will be able with the aid of her sister to take care of her mother. Louisa's sister is married and has six or seven children, the oldest about eleven years old, and Louisa has six the oldest about eighteen years. Louisa is a widow and has but one child that is able to more than earn a support.
I should have written you before but wished to hear from Louisa's sister whether she would aid her in taking care of their mother which she and Husband promise Louisa they will do.
Yours Respectfully
(Sgd.) Wm G. Morgan

Respectfully returned to Bvt. Lt. Col. James Johnson S.A.C. &c. with information that the within named children were bound out by me: Georgeanna Fanteroy to Wm Walt Douglass, of Warsaw, Richmond County, Va. until 18 years old. Josephine Fanteroy to Hiempsel Clarke of Richmond County, Va. for same term of years. These children were treated badly by John Smith, and I took them away from him. Georgeanna was bound to Douglas on the 19th day of May, 1866 and Josephine on the 21st day of May 1866. They, nor no one here, knew anything about their parents before this, since years ago.
