This child was taken from Onancock, some two years before the war by Mr. White, to or near Yorktown, Va. with the grandmother of the child at the time that  George Joyner commenced living with the mother of the child, she belonged to Mr. White and they lived together as man and wife with the consent of Mr. Joyner, the owner of George, and Mr. S. White
