The Oyster law is not exactly as I would have it. But it is much better then no law on the subject. As to the objecting, there is none named that has any validity except this measure. I have no objection to its being corrected. This is a law of general character, and I don't think - will I won't say.

There are no papers relative to this case on file in this office, and the only communications regarding your property, were received from the Comr. one dated Oct. 2nd 1866, returned, February 27th 1867. The following papers are required, before the property can be restored: viz:
Copy of pardon, on Amnesty Oath, with affidavit that the applicant is not embraced in any of the Exceptions of the Pres'ts Proclamation of May 29th 65. Proof of title, and Certificate of the clerk of the N.S. Dist. Court, that the property has not been libelled
