Respectfully returned: The delay of Gov: Pierpoint has caused all the delay and trouble. The civil authorities of this County applied to me to know if the Bureau would take charge of these maniacs - I was informed that they could be received in Howards Grove Hospital & that transportation for insane and attendants from R.R. Station to Richmond, Va- I so informed the civil authorities, made the proper application and all parties have been waiting for an order of admission ever since - I hope it may come soon- & if without transportation the civil authorities of this Co. will send them to the city, but they want to know where to take them & that they will be admitted.
