Genl, Bureau R.F. and A.L. ~ The articles named in the enclosed account, are proper purchases from the Hospital Fund, except the item of straw - Act. Asst. Surgeon Nason certifies to the correctness of the accounts, they should therefore, after approval by the Surgeon in Chief District of Va, be paid for out of the Hospital Fund belonging to the Hospital at Yorktown, or of some other Hospital in the State of Va; of which, as appears from a statement made by Surg: DeLamater and referred by Genl Brown to the Commissioner, there seems to be a surplus.~ L.A.
