leaving Miss Jarvis in charge of the school. I would respectfully call your attention to the report of Miss Oppelt at De Kalb and would be glad if you would send her a price list of Books and direct her how to obtain them. From the letter accompanying her report to me I learn she has met with much opposition from the White citizens herself and Sisters have been insulted and all this kind of thing now so common in this [[?]] Country The total number of Pupils reported this month are three hundred and fifty nine. I hope you will be prepared to furnish me with two teachers when the fall term commences should the Missus Warren fail to negotiate with other societies to return they have done nobly since they have been here and I hope we may see them again next fall. I have succeeded in getting a lot upon which to build a church for the Cold People to be used also for school purposes.
The buildin 35x55 will be erected at the expense of the M.E. church in a few weeks.
