Parents for support with the exception of the 12 Wimmen who were unable to provide for themselves For your further information I would state that these 114 children are the dependents of 33 families and rations were not issued to them for any period exceeding 15 days in the month. It is true the fact of the report shows that 1910 rations have been issued in the month but it also shows that they have been issued to 12 Wimmen and 114 children and as existing orders stipulate that 1/2 ration shall be issued to children it was presumed that it would be understood that children or 1/2 rations were issued to that class. The records of this office show that 200 rations were issued to adults and 1710 rations to children during the month of June equalling 1055 whole or destitute rations all previous reports have been made in accordance with the foregoing explanation and as it was apparently understood the same course has followed if it is desirable that the reports in future shall show the No. of whole rations issued instead of the whole No. of rations please instruct to that effect and the reports will be in accordance.
