Sir:
In consequence of the sickness of Capt H E Rainals the Sub-Com District of Meridian, I have the honor to forward the enclosed report of Civilian Employees Bu RF and AL in the District of Meridian for the month of July 1866. 

I would respectfully state that the delay of said report is owing to the fact that the report of the Asst. Cub. Comr at Lauderdale was not received at this office until this day.

Sir:
I desire to call your attention to the complaint of the bearer and respectfully ask that you take such measures as are necessary to cause Mr Ball to pay her for work done and prevent other members of his family from abusing her Children.

The statement of her Demy Geter relative to her being arrested, and taken to the lockup and released with instructions to find certain articles stolen from Mr. Ball's or that they would arrest her again is not the proper way to transact such business and your official interposition is respectfully solicited if thear is no proof of her being in any way connected with the Robbery  Justice demands that she shall
