In reference to my communication to your office dated the 6th inst wherein I made an estimate of the cost of repairs on the two Gov. buildings here, set aside for School purposes and Bureau Offices, I would respectfully request to be informed whether the expenses will be allowed or what other directions have to be followed

I would further on this occasion respectfully recommend that the said buildings which are now borne on the papers of Lieut White AAQM at Lauderdale, be transferred to Capt Chapman, AAQM at this station, to enable him to have the proper supervision and charge of repairs &c of the same.
