As the buildings, for which these repairs have been approved, are not borne on any papers of mine — my accounts with the Quartermaster Department having been closed, as I am not responsible for any public property — but are under the charge of the Act. Asst Quartermaster at Lauderdale, Lieut White, to whom I transferred the same on being relieved from duty at this post, and as it would be more practical for all purposes to have said buildings transferred to the Act. Asst Quartermaster at this Station, Capt Chapman, I recommended such transfer in a late communication to your Office, dated 18 inst, to which I respectfully invite your attention, and request that Capt Chapman be directed to take charge of the repairs, which have now been commenced.
