Major, The twenty (20) copies of General Orders No 31. Headquarters Depart. of Mississippi, lately received, have all been distributed, and as I am still short of about a similar number of copies, I respectfully request to be furnished them. I should likewise request to be furnished with a corrected List of the Names of Commissioners under the Civil Rights Bill, as I understand that a number of the gentlemen whose names are borne on the List promulgated in Gen. Orders No 10, Hd Qrs Dept of Miss. Bu R.F. and A.L. office Asst. Comm'r, dated July 17. 1866, have not accepted the appointment. I am, Major, very respectfully Your obdt Servt.
