37 Bureau Refugees Freedmen and A Lands Hd Qrs Sub Disct of Meridian Meridian Miss Aug. 28 1867 Cox Mrs. Madam, Tammy Rogers freedwoman complains that you are in her debit for services rendered you will immediately settle the claim or give satisfactory reasons for failing so to do In Consequence of the exam bar of Complaint entered against you at this Office I am designated by the Sub Asst Comr to inform you that you will not be permitted to employ servants except by written Contracts approved at this Office I am Madam Your ob Servt Andrew Thomas Agent B.R.F. and AL Sub Disct Meridian B.R.F. and A L Meridian Miss August 29 1867 Webster Allbrooke and Lawson Meridian Miss Gentlemen A communication from you addressed to Maj Genl O O Howard Commissioner B.R.F. and A.L.
