Dr Sir

I was requested by A.J. Graham County surveyor of Clarke Co to ascertain of you whether or not land entered during the war with confederate money would go back to the government there are such lands in this county now held by men and as the Freedmen wish to enter it I wish to be informed on the subject. Please give me the law on the matter at your earliest convenience
