Sir:
Within the last two or three weeks, on ____ Bennett and the other John Bull by name, have been induced through your representations to come here from Charleston, under belief that I had money for them. and who have, in consequence, been put to an useless expense (which they could illy afford) and have had to return to Charleston unpaid.

Referring to the Poster in the Charleston Post Office, it will be seen, that claimants are at once to communicate with him and he will advise them of the steps to be taken &c. There is no one authorized to assure them that I have money for them or to send them to me here. All that is required, when a claimant is found who has been advertised for, is to call his attention to it and tell him to write to me in regard to same
