In reply to your communication of the 11th. inst. I have to inform you that at present the services of a clerk are not deemed necessary to enable you to perform the duties devolving upon you under Paragraph 6 Special Orders 315 C.S.

The necessary stationery for use in your office may be purchased, and vouchers therefor forwarded to the Chief Disbursing Officer Freedmens Branch Adjutant General's
