NARA 199 War Department, Adjutant General's Office, Washington, D.C. January 26. 1874 Lieut J.K. Myer, 18th Infty, Disbursing Officer, Columbia, S.C. Sir: In answer to your letter of the 17th inst. inquiring respecting the furnishing of fuel for the use of your office, I have to state that, your duties as disbursing officer being in connection with your ordinary post duties, it is not seen that special provision for fuel is necessary.
