We, Robert Jackson and Scipio Wilson, of Charleston parish or county of Charleston and State of South Carolina do solemnly swear that we are neighbors of Emma Jackson widow of Wm Jackson deceased and have been well acquainted with her for 24 years and years respectfully; that she is the identical person that she represents herself to be, that she is the widow of the said Wm Jackson who died in August 1865 at Fort Pulaski, and who enlisted in the military service of the United States and served in the Company "A" Regiment 103rd U.S.C.T. and that we are not, jointly or severally, directly or indirectly, interested in any claim which the said Emma Jackson has or may have against the United States.

Sworn to and subscribed before me this Sixth day of October, 1873; and I hereby certify that the contents of the foregoing affidavit were carefully read by me to the affiants before subscribing their names thereto, and I know that affiants to be credible persons.
