In accordance with the instructions from your office of the 9th inst I respectfully return herewith the papers in the case of Wm Hollings with a statement of the examination made by me on the 14th August last and the confidential statement (Form 24) in his case

Having no doubt after the examination that the man who presented himself for payment was not the Wm Hollins in whom favor Treasury Certificate Number Go4100 was issued.  I did not report the case

I enclose him a blank for his use.  I shall be in Lexington for payment on the 7th October next and at this place any time after the 12th October.
