NARA 69

Office of Wm. CORNELL,
Attorney-at-Law,
South-West Corner Ninth and Main Sts.
Cincinnati. April 12th 1873

Gen A P Howe  }
Louisville Ky }

Sir

Fanny Brown Mother of Jack Brown (Colored) wishes to know why she must come to Louisville or go to Lexington to get her bounty &c.

She can not go alone and will have to bear the expense of two persons to Louisville or Lexington to get her money. Why is this?

It will cost her near $20.00 to go for it. Is not this rough and can it not be avoided.

Very truly yours

W Cornell
