John F. Grill says he has been Township Trustee in the city of Evansville in said county, and states for nearly three years. and is ex officio "overseer of the poor."  and as such is well acquainted with the within named Kissy Taylor, and knows her as a very worthy and deserving colored woman, and the identical person she represents herself to be, and that he has supplied and supported the said Kissy Taylor to a great extent for the past twelve months, out of the public fund at his disposal, that she became an object of charity on account of her inability to work, by reason of sickness.
