to the soldier by the Chaplain of the Reg't, and of the fact that while she and the soldier were living and cohabiting together as man and wife the woman Phillis was in Columbus, Ky., where the regiment was stationed, and was considered to be "any body's wife"

If the proof has miscarried, it can again  be gotton.  

The soldier enlisted in 1863, and died at Paducah, Ky in Hospital: about the 25th October 1865. 

I will inquire, or cause her to, of the Officers above named, what further is necessary to establish her claims.
