Louisville, Ky. June 7th 1873

We will furnish to the U.S. Gov't (department in Louisville), Twelve (12) tons Pittsburgh (Bituminous) Coal at Five dollars & 25/100 ($5 25/100) per ton of Two thousand (2000) pounds.  And Two (2) Cords Kindling wood at Eight dollars ($8.00) per Cord, to be delivered within the City limits as required, say from Oct 1st [[strikethrough]] 73 [[/strikethrough]] 1873, to April 1st 1874.

The Coal to be delivered, not less than one Cart load at a time; and Kindling wood, not less than one fourth (1/4) Cord at a time.
